Youâve gotten really good at being the responsible one. But somewhere between back-to-back meetings, people-pleasing on autopilot, and trying to do life ârightâ⌠you misplaced your spark.
Remember the you who...
â¨Â Made up dance routines in the living room (jazz hands and all)
â¨Â Built worlds out of cardboard boxes and glitter glue
â¨Â Didnât overthink, didnât compare, and happily made a mess just for the fun of it
Yeah⌠that you.
Every once in a while, they pop up, whispering:
âRemember me? I still want to giggle-snort and laugh until I canât breathe. I still want to dream without limits. I still want to see magic in the little things. I still want to dance like no oneâs watching⌠especially if they are.â
Around here, we say yes to that voice.
We turn down the volume on perfectionism. We kick self-doubt to the curb. We swap endless to-do lists for belly laughs, bold moves, and a healthy dose of ridiculousness.
Because healing doesnât have to feel heavy. Here, it gets to be FUN đŞŠ
Why PLAY?!
Play isnât just something kids do. Itâs the secret sauce to building self-trust, quieting your inner critic, and feeling alive again.
Through play, you:
𧥠Loosen perfectionismâs grip and build real self-love
𧥠Spark creativity, adaptability, and fresh ideas
𧥠Reduce stress and burnout
𧥠Strengthen relationships and connection
𧥠Invite silliness, spontaneity, and joy back into your life
Iâm Kara đ Chief Fun Officer of
The Playful Warrior
I grew up as the sparkly, big-hearted kid who turned the kitchen into a stage and saw magic in the smallest things.
But somewhere along the way, I learned to trade play for perfectionism. Fun became something you had to "earn", and the constant pressure slowly pushed my joy to the sidelines.
By adulthood, I was burnt out and living by the unspoken rule that my worth came from how much I achieved, and how perfectly I could do it.
In 2019, when I was deep in inner child work, I realized just how far Iâd drifted from that lit-up version of me⌠and how much sheâd been longing to be expressed.
I went looking for spaces where my inner child could come alive again, but every âplayâ option for adults came with a side of competition, achievement, or pressure to perform.
So I built what I couldnât find. A space where play has nothing to do with proving yourself, and everything to do with feeling alive, safe, and wildly yourself.
Thatâs when everything shifted. I stopped living for approval and started creating a life I actually wanted to be in.
Now, through The Playful Warrior, I help sensitive, high-achieving humans do the same â shaking off the pressure, perfectionism, and people-pleasing, and coming home to the most confident, creative, fully-expressed version of themselves.

The Magic of Play, in Real Life
âI had been doing a lot of heavy healing work and it felt stressful and isolating.
I felt safe enough to open up, take up space, and trust myself in a new way.
I grew so much self-trust that I had the courage to start my own business and I feel so much more connected to my kiddos.â
â Marti M., Occupational Therapist & Coach @martimarsh.ot
âI was always playful at heart, but I felt lonely on this path. Play was shamed as silly, and I was so close to dimming my light.â
Working with Kara, I felt deeply seen, safe, and free. That safety allowed me to open up and step into my most authentic, vibrant self.
It turns out the remedy for my darkest self-criticism wasnât more seriousness⌠it was play.â
â Gizem D., Creative Entrepreneur @anika.healing
âWorking with Kara awakened the parts of me I had left behind and truly rescued my heart. The little girl inside of me is alive again.
Before, I took everything so seriously. Now I experience more freedom, softness, and joy in my everyday life.
What surprised me most is how healing play actually is. It sounds simple, but it nourishes parts of you that have been underfed for years.â
